A rat fairy is a dire rat that somehow gained feydom. They look much like a rat, with wings and a more humanoid build. Rat fairies are aggressive, territorial and greedy, with not much brain or brawn. That said they are rarely willing to attack humanoids, unless starving or attacked in kind.
Combat
Rat fairies are a cowardly bunch, and will flee if the battle doesn't turn. They prefer to fight with hordes of rats swarms and dire rats that they gathered beforehand.
Rat Affinity (Su): A rat fairy has a druid's wild empathy and is under a constant speak with animals effect, but both can only be used with rats and dire rats.
Rat's Curse (Su): Any creature bitten by a rat fairy is subject to a bestow curse DC (14) of the rat fairy's choosing. The curse automatically ends if the rat fairy is slain and can be dismissed by the rat fairy as a standard action. A specific creature can only have a single rat's curse bestowed on them, even from multiple rat fairy.
Familiar
Rat fairies can be selected as familiars by arcane casters of 5th level or higher. Typically evolving from a rat familiar.
