Talk:3.5e Base Classes
Not Sorting
The Balance Point column isn't sorting. The other columns do sort. Not sure what the problem is here. Just pointing it out. --Ganteka Future 08:07, March 15, 2010 (UTC)
- This was caused by the template for the table rows not inserting table cells for cells with null-like values. I changed the template to detect the difference between no value passed and a null-like value. The upshot is the balance point column sorts now. -Cedges 20:22, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
More Info?
We have a lot of properties set for all the class pages, like what they do (spellcasting etc). It may be nice to provide this info as part of this page. Surgo 19:18, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- On my 1366 × 768 laptop screen, there are maybe four inches of space for fitting such properties in. I don't suppose there a way to let people pick which properties they want to see while they're looking at this page (drop-down menu or something), is there? --Foxwarrior 19:47, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- No, there isn't -- at least, not yet that I'm aware of. Request shelved. Surgo 19:49, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- The properties were originally designed for semantic drilldown style navigation. Which we're not using at present. They still work nicely for semantic searches, but that's a pretty niche thing without them being more user friendly. - Tarkisflux Talk 21:28, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- What if we had designed the Base classes to be also viewable as 'cards' full of information. A card-style display will allow for more information to be displayed from the properties set. The idea would be that you can switch between the table view and a card-style view in order to display a lot of information, but with user decisions. --TK-Squared 00:42, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
- Can't do it on the same page, since we can't swap like that. But a card style is totally doable. It would be a lot of information to sort through though, and some way of slimming that down would be helpful. - Tarkisflux Talk 00:51, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
- You need to start thinking with Javascript, brudda. Set up the receiving template correctly and it all be possible with the click of a link. --TK-Squared 00:58, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Ratings
For those pages that have sufficient ratings to have a calculated average, would it be possible/desirable to add a column for that? --DanielDraco (talk) 04:37, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- I would love that!Somehownotsingle (talk) 22:15, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
