This white jade ring seems to be vibrating constantly and encases the wearer in a shimmering curtain of hazy force. Putting on the ring may be a deafening experience, but the immediate sonic resistance that results from wearing it will result in no damage. Apart from making sneaking and silence impossible, a bellowstone grants its wearer the following benefits:
- Resistance to sonic 30.
- All natural weapons (including unarmed strikes) and all manufactured weapons wielded by the wearer benefit from the sonic burst quality.
- All enemy creatures attacking or otherwise physically touching the wearer in melee receive 2d6 points of sonic damage.
- The wearer casts spells with the sonic descriptor with a +2 enhancement bonus to caster level. These two bonus caster levels ignore a spell's damage cap; a level 15 sorcerer casting shout on a brittle object will deal 17d6 sonic damage.
When the ring is activated, the wearer of a bellowstone creates disruptive vibrations in a 10-foot area, projecting the effects of sound burst and shatter throughout the entire area every turn. Saving throw DCs as per the spells, based on the highest of the wearer's mental ability scores.
Prerequisites: Forge Ring, sound burst, shout.
Cost to Create: 20,000 gp, 1,200 EXP, 40 days.
