A magi-tech device created by a scientist interested in exploring the depths of the ocean, this outfit is a pressurized wetsuit pressed tight on the body, with a large collar and shoulder brace which has four metallic tentacles hanging off it.  A bubble helmet locks onto the top.  It is cumbersome to don, and is donned as if [[SRD:Breastplate|breastplate]].  It requires an [[Energy Cell (3.5e Equipment)|energy cell]] for 24 hours of operation, or a [[Fusion Cell (3.5e Equipment)|fusion cell]] for unlimited operation.  Toggling power to the suit is a move action, and if unpowered its armor check penalty becomes -8 and it slows you down as if wearing medium armor.

Once powered, the tentacles come to life controlled by the users thoughts.  They can walk upon them at their normal move speed, and reach twice as high as normal vertically by stretching tall (10 ft for small or medium creatures) as long as they have one tentacle on the ground.  They are too cumbersome to attack with, but do offer reach for the purposes of grabbing and interacting with things.  Each arm can hold, but not wield, items with all the dexterity of your normal arms.  You can also make touch attacks through the arms as if it were your natural reach.

The additional arms grant you a +8 circumstance bonus to grapple checks, Climb checks, and Swim checks.  You can always take 10 on Climb or Swim checks even in a stressful situation.  You also gain a climb and swim speed equal to half your base land speed.

The collar contains a rebreather and active electrolysis engine to produce oxygen while powered, giving you a constant flow of fresh air.  However, it does not protect against inhaled poisons.  You are immune to the pressure of the deep and gain ''[[SRD:Endure Elements|endure elements (cold)]]'' as an extraordinary ability.

While not standard, there are sockets on the collar to insert special waterproof [[SRD:Bullseye Lantern|bullseye lanterns]] for deep sea exploration in darkened areas for an additional +30 gp.  Lighting is powered by the energy cell and requires no oil, and is a move action to toggle.

Magic is used in its initial creation, but the end result is ultimately extraordinary.  It requires both [[SRD:Craft Magic Arms and Armor|Craft Magic Arms & Armor]] and [[SRD:Craft Wondrous Item|Craft Wondrous Item]] to make, and counts as light armor.  It takes up both the body and shoulders slot, and the head slot with its helmet on.  It is always masterwork, accounted for in the cost.
