DndWiki:Kerell

I thought there was another CS in there I'd missed...

I don't think you need to worry about adding the help wanted to the Kerell subpages, since it'll all come off post migration anyway (help wanted on the main page is good though). I should have time to migrate them into the homebrew section later today or early next week. - Tarkisflux 20:00, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Cool! It's good not to see them vanish during the wiki-merge-process. I did place templates already, but that shouldn't matter now. Daranios 20:02, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Indeed :-). I'm actually pretty happy with the Domains of Divinity (3.5e Campaign Setting) merge, but if there's anything you'd like to see dealt with differently I'm happy to adjust. - Tarkisflux 20:06, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
I like what it looks like now. When the two remaining Domains of Divinity articles will have been transferred from DnDWiki, it will be a perfect merging. :-) Daranios 20:18, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Cite book

Discussion on the template over here, since it looks like there's an easier way to do the subpages. - Tarkisflux 18:25, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Template:Citation

Do we need this template: Template:Citation, or can it be replaced with things like Template:Cite book and Template:Cite Pub? If we do need it, can you track down what Template:Citation/identifier is supposed to be? It's used in one of the sub-pages of the Citation template, though I'm not sure any of our stuff is even referencing it. I'd just grab it from another wiki, but I'm not sure that would work or we even need it. - Tarkisflux 18:32, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

Also, Template:Citation/core/doc needs to be filled in as well if we're keeping Citation. Probably another theft from elsewhere though, unless changes were made for our copy. - Tarkisflux 18:45, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Template:Citation seems to have been designed for citing patents (so it probably has been taken from Wikipedia), so I am sure it can be replaced by Template:Cite book and Template:Cite Pub and deleted afterwards. Daranios 10:37, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Search

Select namespaces outside of main (SRD, Canon, and Publication) are now searched by default as well. Surgo 15:50, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Fixup

Can I request that DnDWiki:Thoul be the next page fixed up? --Havvy 03:52, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Done - so far. I did not at the moment have my Mystara stuff ready (and the time) to improve the article content, I just introduced the creature template. You are of course welcome to adapt any DnDWiki articles to the normal standard here yourself, if you like. Daranios 20:44, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
May I be more specific and ask that whatever is going to happen to the cite template and its corresponding category be cleaned up? Thanks for the speediness of the reply. --Havvy 08:18, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
I have removed the category, which is in my opinion not necessary (and I hope I did not create any problems with the template that way). I think the Template:Cite web itself makes sense and should be kept. Daranios 18:27, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. I'm cleaning out the Wanted Categories list, and I wasn't sure what to do with the categories. --Havvy 18:54, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Thank You

It may have been said before, but it is worth mentioning again. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into the Canon section. It really is appreciated. I'm not too great at writing limericks or songs like a few of the other folk around here, but I just wanted to let you know. Also, have you considered hanging out in the chat with us some time? --Ganteka Future 17:01, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Thanks! One's effort being appreciated is just as good as any limericks :-). Thanks also for the invitation, but I am not too great a fan of chats in general. Daranios 20:17, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Sorry to add more to your work pile, but...

First-off, thanks for all the great work you're doing! Secondly, it appears that our publication list is missing the Tome of Magic, which I think should be included, as it is cited numerous times that I just stumbled across. If you could do that as quickly as possible, that would be awesome. For your benefit, I tried to find its product page, but the WotC website is fucking up on me, so I got this instead. - MisterSinister 21:04, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Tarkisflux already did it :-). Daranios 15:33, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Canon Navigation Stuff

I noticed that you had setup the Category:Ravenloft creatures page, and wanted to talk about it so that we're on the same page with respect to navigation. Because of the "Main Article..." link at the top, it looks more like a regular list / navigation page than a category page (though I may just not have looked at a lot of other categories on other wikis and that might be perfectly normal). Did you want to use category pages as navigation pages? An alternative would be to keep the categories as broad(ish) as possible, and then build pages based off of queries against multiple categories. So a creature found in Ravenloft might belong to Category:Creature and Category:Ravenloft, and the Canon:Ravenloft Creatures (or even Canon:Ravenloft/Creatures) page would have a query in it that looked for pages in those two categories in the Canon namespace and put them into the list (Havvy has written a simplified query template, SMW Category Query, that I think pretty well documented for ease). This is the method I'm currently using for the Canon nav pages I did a few weeks back.

I don't know that one way is better than another, but I'm used to doing it the query way because of all of the other pages on the wiki. I don't mind not doing it the way you're setting it up though (unless someone else comes up with good reasons not to), I just want to sort it up front so we don't work at cross-purposes. - Tarkisflux Talk 21:38, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
