That would make a hell of a roast dinner, Ma!
Sometimes, chickens grow really big and aggressive. Nobody knows exactly why, but a wizard probably did it. They look like horse-sized versions of chickens.
Combat[edit]
Dire chickens tend to savagely leap at any enemies they encounter and tear into them. To escape, they use their natural speed and jumping ability.
Pounce (Ex): A dire chicken can perform a full attack at the end of a charge.
Racial Bonuses: A dire chicken has a +5 bonus on Jump checks. Furthermore, they are always considered to have a running start for the purpose of jumping.
Sudden Leap (Ex): A dire chicken can perform a Jump check (and move the required distance) for a long jump or a high jump as a swift action.
