The Graygem of Gargath, also known by many other names, was a mighty artifact created by the god Reorx, unintentionally trapping Chaos. Its release upon the face of Krynn was a major event in the history of the world, causing havock and creating a number of new races. Its destruction and release of Chaos marked the beginning of the Chaos War.
