1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

A curved cut-and-thrust sword made as a backup weapon for Grecian hoplites. The sword is forward-curving, but not enough to eliminate thrusting technique. It also sports a guard, an interesting feature for it's time.

When wielded without Exotic proficiency, the Kopis is used as a shortsword, with the same crit range and damage as a shortsword.

When wielded with Exotic proficiency, the Kopis gains the following benefits.

• When fighting against enemies with shields, the shield's AC is reduced by 1 against any attacks made with a Kopis.

• When wielding the Kopis in tandem with a shield, increase your shield's AC by 1, as your handguard allows you to make attacks with more safety.

Additionally, the Kopis counts as a Masterwork Tool for butchering or cutting meat.
