  • Rule #1: Gods, Demons, and Devils are part of a group of powerful individuals known as "Transcendent Beings."
  • Rule #2: "Transcendent Beings" are entities that have transcended mortality in some way.
      • Circumstances of Birth: Ancient ancestry or origin.
      • Ancients are extremely mysterious and powerful, to the extent that many Ancient-descended Gods may not even understand their own history, background, or identity (has no awareness of "role" in the ancient echelon-- see Sebastion story).
      • Devils and Demons are the remnants of the War (New Watch: Asmodeans and the Darkness [Maw]). On Sentia, they are imbued with Taerora's influence.
      • Lesser ancient ancestry (as opposed to greater ancient ancestry) is the rule, not the exception.
    • Ascension
      • EX: Hercules
      • Deities may have no recollection of mortal existence
    • Access to advanced technology
      • EX: Asgardians (Marvel)
  • Rule #3: Deities do not control Sentia. Instead....
    • Storms and harvests occur naturally with weather: God meddling was outlawed in the Spirit-God "Influence" contract and the Hero-God "Bribery" contract (exceptions apply).
  • Rule 4: Deities are kept in check by the Primal Spirits (the spiritual essence of Sentia that blossomed from Taerora's power)-icons.
  • Rule #5: Deities are not "dead"; they can a beacon of hope, healing, and community on the planet of Sentia. Despite the lack of influence...
    • Due to their actual lack of influence, some consider gods to have the same function as pop-artists in tabloids.

Primary Pantheon[edit]

There are five main types of Transcendent Beings: Demons, Devils, Divine, Primordials, Spirit. These groups have certain levels of organizations; some may be seen as a "patheon."

[The Divine (Ascended), Primordials (Ancients) --older concept]]

  • The Demons have a limited hierarchy, based on carnage and warfare, with "The Destroyer" as the top demon, capable of godlike power. The Destroyer would be Chaotic Evil.
  • Devils have a strict hierarchy, with an empire, and civilization, interacting with other creatures through the Devil City, which is in the first layer of hell. Asmodeous is a powerful, cunning ruler at the top of the hierarchy: he would be considered Lawful Evil.
  • The Divine, or the "GODS" are what most people in the campaign consider to be the only true gods. These include the Sky Dragon, god of the sky, caretaker of the sun, "father" of the Dragonborn race (also known as the Platinum Dragon, comparable to Bahumat) Slegor, god of the earth and mountains, creator of the dwarves (comparable to Moradin) Wind-Gwendalin, goddess/patron of wind, trade, travel, luck: from her thoughts sprung the Halfings, comparable to Avandra) and many more.

Demons[edit]

The demonic hierarchy is very simple. It's based on who's the strongest. Some demons are very intelligent, working with other demons and lesser demons to create armies, and others are volatile and dangerous. Despite the power struggles that go on between the demons, the Destroyer rules over them all.

The destroyer is (or rather, was) an ancient "diety", a god who once held the title of Asmodeous.

History of the Destroyer: The Destroyer was part of an ancient band of warriors on a forgotten planet that was destroyed a struggle between many powerful races. At this point in time, the destroyer, was named asmodeous, which was the title of the strongest warrior on the planet, and the planet' s name as well. Asmodeous was somehow infected with a virus designed only to wipe out mechanical life forms, which was tainted with dark magic. This rest of his team was killed by powerful combatants of one of the warring races. Asmodeous went mad with grief, and the dangerous virus designed only to destroy the planet infected him as well. This planet was much older than Sentia. The floating "demons" that the creator diety Found were the torn, floating form of the Destroyer, containing all the essence of the beings of his planet, a power that only those who held the title of Asmodeous (and only a few) posses. As he came back into existence, the destroyer resurrected his planet (albeit, with the same curse he had) in the newly created abyss. The destroyer was so powerful that when he was transferred to the he abyss, he single handedly defeated a handful of the primordials who tried to reclaim the area.-and of course the later wars. The tieflings are descendant from Asmodeous- the first Tiefling was the son of Asmodeous, who was in conception when the planet was destroyed. He eventually came into being from his Resurrection by the Destroyer. He was not infected with the strange mechanical virus, and led a group of warriors in a new direction. The Destroyer is immensly intelligent , and revels in blood shed- the only thing that can keep his mind sated, and away from the ironic "inner demons" he posses.

Devils[edit]

Unlike the demonic hierarchy, the devil hierarchy is extremely complicated. The devil hierarchy is ruled by Impron, who holds the title Asmodeous. Impron was one of the "early people" (related to the Tieflings) who was alive during the creation of Sentia by the creator Goddess. At this time, he was comparable to modern day Imps, with all the stealth and cunning to go with it. Using these skills, Impron stole part of the sun, gaining immense power and unleashing heat and flame onto Sentia. The creator goddess was still much more powerful, and banished Impron and his followers to the place now known as the Nine Hells. Impron and his followers became the modern day devils that exist today.

Things that are different...[edit]

Devils in Nor Galad are more much hospitable than their more Blasphemous counterparts in other campaigns...but still just as devious. The first layer of hell is open to all travelers, and his a huge trading city rivaling even the famed City of Brass.

The Gods (Immortals)[edit]

Immortals is the term used to refer to Angels, and the pantheon of Gods and Goddesses that live in the Astral Sea that they serve and protect. For those who have played DnD before, this is a very familiar Pantheon setup. They are called Immortals (and not "Gods) by scholars because although they are powerful, they are not true Gods (there are no true gods in Nor Galad), they are merely beings heightened beyond mortal existence, that care to focus on the humble planet of Sentia. For all practical purposes however, the Immortals are Gods, and are known as Gods to the majority of people on the planet.

The Ancients[edit]

What are they?[edit]

The term "Ancients" refers to a large group of extremely advanced beings. The true "Ancients" have evolved beyond mere mortal comprehensions. The lowest tiers (such as gods, devils, demons) are deities on planets throughout the world. Theoretically, the Elder Dragons had power comparable to some Ancients. The "Necromancer" responsible for the Elder's demise may have been an higher level Ancient one.

Main Types[edit]

  • Gods, demons, devils, dragons
  • The "Uknown" ones
  • The Sup-Humans
