Standard Action | Ranged 5 |
Effect: You summon a shadow animate within 5 squares of you in an unoccupied space. The animate has defenses equal to your defenses, and has hit points equal to one-quarter of your maximum hit points. The animate can move alongside your character, but must stay within range. If the animate strays beyond your range, the spell ends immediately and you take a -2 penalty to Will until the start of your next turn. The animate can make a melee basic attack equal to your melee basic attack plus your intelligence modifier. If it hits, the animate can deal 2d6 + Intelligence modifier Necrotic damage-- this attack takes place when you make a standard action and the animate is adjacent to an enemy at the time. The animate lasts until the end of the encounter, or until it reaches 0 hit points. You can end the spell as a minor action, taking no penalties. The creature can also become the center point of your ranged, close, and area burst attacks as well. The animate is treated as an ally for the purpose of flanking. |
