A successful [[SRD:Saving Throw|Fortitude save]] ([[SRD:DC|DC]] 10 + 1/2 the character’s [[SRD:Class|class]] level + the character’s [[SRD:Charisma|Charisma]] modifier) negates the effect. The deafening effect lasts for as long as the character continues the deafening song. The character can choose to exclude any characters from this effect. The character may sing, play, or recite a deafening song while taking other mundane actions, but not magical ones (see the [[SRD:Bard|bard]]’s inspire courage ability for more details). The character may keep up the deafening song for a maximum of 10 rounds.
