This strange weapon is the result of a crossbow savvy adventurer going crazy with technology she recovered from a mind flayer base. It is a mix between a [[Coilgun (3.5e Equipment)|coilgun]] and a [[Sniper Crossbow (3.5e Equipment)|sniper crossbow]]. Overall it an extremely odd weapon, but rather effective... if a bit anachronistic.
It behave as a +1 [[Coilgun (3.5e Equipment)|coilgun]] that can only fire bolts, however it uses the damage, range and critical value of a [[Sniper Crossbow (3.5e Equipment)|sniper crossbow]]. It similarly can only be fired two-handed, bonus while prone and has the extended range sneak attack abilities of the [[Sniper Crossbow (3.5e Equipment)|sniper crossbow]]. Sadly the bolt need to be reloaded after every shot, which require a full-round action. Proficiency with either the [[Coilgun (3.5e Equipment)|coilgun]] or the [[Sniper Crossbow (3.5e Equipment)|sniper crossbow]] grant proficiency with the coilbow.
Thanks to increased stability, the user do not need to make a strength check when using the charged attack with the coilbow.
