Wondering[edit]

Is the proboscis a natural weapon? Does the grappling provoke an AoO? If it's a natural weapon, is it a primary weapon, or a secondary weapon? --Mock Turtle 15:23, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

It's hard to classify the proboscis as a natural weapon since it uses a touch attack, but it's considered a primary natural weapon in the sense that you don't suffer penalties to attack. This class has been tricky since you are offered several natural weapons that can be alternately used as your primary weapon, so I think I was trying to be deliberately ambiguous before. The grapple is like Improved Grab, so you don't provoke an AoO. - TG Cid 17:58, February 14, 2010 (UTC)
So, you can use this with all your other natural weapons when you make a full attack? Cool. --Mock Turtle 06:37, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, but only in melee in that way. If you use it at a distance, it's a standard action, so it's not too abusive. - TG Cid 22:45, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
