A bit weak for a level 6, I think. The fatigue effect is not that huge a deal and the damage is not amazing.
If an elder elemental can be created from a gargantuan creature (the text is a little unclear about the elemental that share the same size), maybe this spell is fair (conditional CR 11 for a 6th level = fair). Compared to the lower-level spells I've rated so far, this spell just seems poor. It is really cool fluff-wise though. |
Feedback[edit]
First-off, thanks. Secondly, you had the intent quite right, but I agree, it is unclear. Once I'm done wrestling with this stupid assignment, I'll make it a bit more clear. - MisterSinister 01:20, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
- Bump. Damage is fine I guess, but the "elemental if killed" think could probably just go. It's a single target close range fort save spell, and it's competing with Flesh to Stone (longer range, SoD). Some damage + fight your blood on a failed save seems reasonable with that comparison.
- The elemental size thing is somewhat problematic though. Small and medium elementals are only CR 1 and 3. Large is only CR 5. You might want to just pick one and be done with it, or tie it to the CR of the target instead (CR-4 or so). - Tarkisflux Talk 21:21, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
