Talk:Macho Mind (3.5e Skill Trick)
Progress[edit]
Wow, this iteration is so much better than when you started it. Still not great, but it moved in the right direction. Again, those prerequisites are clunky. Just drop the needing to intimidate a bunch of people. It weirdly encourages roleplaying in the wrong way for "well, I want to get this thing next level, and this is likely the last town we're in before we level, so I need to find and Intimidate a bunch of targets so I can have the thing I want, I guess this takes time from the actual roleplaying needed for the group and also forces me to Intimidate people I don't really want or need to just to have something I can use once per encounter." That's not a playstyle that's good for the story or the atmosphere of play or is a good use of time. Maybe the character only really uses Intimidate sparingly, because they're actually rather very nice usually and they don't like doing it, even though they're good at it. It isn't even good for character building, especially since actually using Intimidate has nothing to do with what the trick actually does. Not sure how I feel about the feat version of it. It is basically lesser "you're a paladin against fear" sorta thing, just kinda odd. Maybe someone else wants to weigh in on that part. --Ganteka Future (talk) 11:07, 2 February 2019 (MST)
