Talk:Smite Ruler and Transfer Loyalty of Populace (3.5e Spell)
That Name and Other Things[edit]
Any chance on going with a shorter name like coup d'etat or smiting usurpation? Also, ruler really needs to be defined here, because if really what it does is allow someone to assume command of followers via killing their master, that could mean lots of cohorts. That's not necessarily bad, the text should just be clear about it is all. --Ganteka Future 05:50, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
- Research into this name reveals that it is Ideasmith's reason for making this spell, and it appears to come from "Munchkins cast Smite Ruler and Transfer Loyalty of Populace". --Foxwarrior 06:08, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
- Definition for 'ruler' added. Thank you.--Ideasmith 16:14, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

I am amused, and a mass permanent charm doesn't seem weak to me. |

Just how easy do you think it should be to become ruler of a kingdom with a single spell? And since when do mass mind control spells get the electricity descriptor?Ideasmith (talk) 19:13, 2 December 2018 (MST)

You don’t consider gaining thousands (or more) of loyal subjects useful? Why not? The effects seem broadly similar to Leadership. Ideasmith (talk) 19:13, 2 December 2018 (MST)

Fills an interesting niche in the game, even if it isn't combat-useful. Maybe it should be level 8 though. |
