On one hand, this flaw doesn't actually affect you that much. On the other, you can only choose a Low feat from it. It leaves me iffy and on the fence.


Design Notes[edit]

Yeah, this one was a design experiment (basically giving a balance range to a flaw). As for the penalty, yeah, different classes are affected differently, and the primary reason you'd want to take this is to fill in a low-balance prerequisite feat. That said, wizards have to take a penalty to Concentration and Craft since their other class skills aren't usable untrained skills. Rogues though, they have a whole slew of skills (basically the whole list except Heal, Ride and Survival) to chose from. Basically, just pushing them into more specialization. Though, because these are usable untrained skills, they may still come up and have to use them anyways. I considered a -4 penalty to each, but wasn't sure if that was too much. I suppose I could exclude Craft from the list as well, since it's rather weird and characters that aren't focused in it aren't using it anyways.
