A must-have for the character whose game plan revolves around being next-to-impossible to kill, or who has a penchant for having near-death experiences. Bonus points for making you genuinely harder to kill, instead of just not being incapacitated at the border between life and death (I've always considered Diehard's name to be a bit inaccurate).

This would be an interesting feat to see on a group of brutes of lower-than-the-PC's-power. Since the pre-requisites rule out use on glass cannon types, you end up with something that's likely to simply survive another hit, and for monster's, that's often dramatic. For PCs, that can really save your booty. You just have to ask yourself, are you feeling like that 1964 nickel you use is gonna land Jefferson-side up? As an aside, I actually use a 1941 nickel.


Wait a second...[edit]

You're not actually dead at −7 hit points — not unless you're undead, a construct, or just have a much lower-than-usual death threshold for some reason. Most creatures die at −10 hit points. Granted, being at −7 hit points means that you're three rounds away from being dead unless you get stabilized, and you're incapacitated unless you have Diehard or something similar, but you're not actually dead yet.
