Important points:

- Wordcasting will be a major source of magic, though an alternate word list (derived from fakey Sanskrit) will have to be made. Mantras and chants are something associated with India.

- The power of the mind is important. Psions are definitely in, wilders are definitely out; the power of the mind is associated with dedication to reaching enlightenment, and the whole thing with wilders is that they are untrained. They just don't fit flavor wise. The Dreamer and the Proteus are two psionic classes that fit rather well in a world where everything is connected.

- Clerics definitely don't fit the flavor of the setting, and druids don't fit too well either. Spirit shamans work as a divine caster alternative that isn't based in wordcasting. Snake Handler Priests, while sort of cheesy, are a definite option as well; they will likely be villainous worshippers of Vritra, the Serpent of Drought. Priests and Philosophers are 2 divine magic classes that also fit. The Chorister is an interesting divine-bard type class which might work as well...

- Monks are a given. Probably didn't even have to mention that.

- Communal Possession could be reflavored as a Past Life Regression class with minimal effort. And by minimal, I mean you would just have to rename the class; the abilities are good as they are.

- What balance point do I want the rest of the classes to be at, for the most part? Very High entails a bunch of Tome goodies, but if I was just going to go with High it might be better to make it focus on martial initiators...decisions decisions.

- Prestige classes that fit the flavor (some may require mechanical tweaking through variants...we shall see):

    - Lotus Disciple: a spellcaster who casts through dance. Very interesting
    - Eternal Incarnate: A spellcaster who has mastered the karmic wheel.
    - Schismsoul: Is he a madman, or recalling past lives? Could he be both?
    - Suicide Survivor: someone who manages to escape the wheel by dying...a lot.
    - Chi Blocker: The concept of energy pathways also exist in India.
    - Nataraja: A class that grants multiple arms and is already full of Indian flavor.
