Jump To Action[edit]

On the streets, hesitation equals death, and those that practice Bloody Alley often know that being reckless and hitting first could mean the difference between surviving and being a bloody mess on the floor. As part of this, many practitioners develop a reckless style of fighting that lets them get the first blow in - at any cost.

You can use this ability after initiative has been determined, but no actions have yet been taken. If you use this ability, in the first round of combat, your initiative score is counted as if you had rolled a 20. However, during that round, you are flat-footed.

If there would be a surprise round during which you cannot act, activating this ability allows you to act in the surprise round at your normal initiative count. You are still flat-footed during the surprise round, and you also don't get any improvement to your initiative score.
