Technicians[edit]

Hiya, and welcome to our wiki! I like what you're trying to do, but it doesn't look organized very well. Is it a sourcebook? Is it a variant rule? Is it a sourcebook that contains variant rules for the classes and powers within it (and thus are largely self contained variants)? The latter seems likely, in which case it could be organized better as a sourcebook first, with subpages and whatnot. The current method will have a bit of redundancy in listing, and that's not a good thing if we can avoid it. I'd be happy to help with the layout, or you could ask in chat for assistance. - Tarkisflux 08:12, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

heya, sorry for getting back so late, but yeah, i was just transfering something from the other dndwiki, and hadn't looked at any other things. i recently noticed the Chakra system, so i think i'll be removing the technique system, as i appears that there are more than a few like it. i'll covert the class i moved from technique points to chakra. so now i'll go delete that stuff...
wait.
how do you delete stuff? - —Preceding unsigned comment added by Warriors4ever (talkcontribs) at
No worries on the lateness. To delete stuff you need to be an admin, or you can add {{delete|Author request}} to the things you want removed and we'll get to them ;-).
BTW, which chakra system were you talking about? Go ahead and reply here, it's easier to keep the conversation in one place. - Tarkisflux 23:47, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
ok. i was talking about the chakra system that the Terror of the Sand (3.5e Class) uses. warriors4ever 01:18, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
Ah, yeah, that looks like it will fit fairly well. You'll have a long list of powers in the pages but that makes them easy to find when you're building a character with the class. I think that's a good call. - Tarkisflux 01:55, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
thanks. Couple questions. This class isn't mine, but is from the other wiki. I feel like I should still give credit to the author, but how (he's not a member of this wiki)? Also, would you mind helping me transfer some more of the class from the other wiki? Mainly just the technique descriptions... warriors4ever 02:57, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
The other wiki uses a different licensing setup than we do. They use one of the GFDLs and we use CC-BY-SA 3.0. These are not entirely compatible licenses, and as a result you may not freely transfer material over. The only way you can move material here is with explicit permission of the author (if you are the author, then you give that permission when you put it here). If you moved over material without that permission, you need to get it or we need to delete the material. Copyright sucks like that. It's not the end of the world if we need to remove stuff though. You can't copyright mechanics, so if you wanted to rewrite the material in your own words, making the adjustments and changes that you indicated above along the way, you could put it back up. - Tarkisflux 00:54, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Ok, sounds good. Will do. warriors4ever 03:33, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
