These boots appear to be [[SRD:Boots of Striding and Springing|boots of striding and springing]], and they function as them as well.  There's only one problem; after 1 minute of use they can no longer be removed and whenever the creature attempts to make a move action, they move in a random direction (roll 1d4, 1 is the intended direction, 2 is 90degrees to the right, 3 is straight backwards, and 4 is 90 degrees to the left).  They are unaware they are going the wrong way until they complete the intended move action entirely or until they hit an obstruction, regardless of danger.  It can even cause people to walk off cliffs or into traps.  Removing the boots requres a casting of ''[[SRD:Break Enchantment|break enchantment]]'' or higher, or ''[[SRD:Remove Curse|remove curse]]'' with a caster level check of DC 14.
