|benefit=This feat allows a caster to turn one of her ray spells into a sword made of magical energy. Upon casting a Rayblade spell you may immediately make a melee touch attack with it. This melee touch attack counts as having reach, but can be used against adjacent opponents. This replaces the normal ranged touch attack made with a ray.

A ray delivered through a rayblade spell deals +1 damage per dice if it deals damage, and has its DC increased by 1 if any. If a spell fires multiple rays (such as [[SRD:Scorching Ray|scorching ray]]) then it instead lasts 1 round/level, allowing you to make a rayblade spell melee touch each round until the duration expires or you run out of rays.  

A rayblade spell uses up a spell slot equal to the spell's actual level. This metamagic may only be applied to a spell whose if effect is a ray.
