|benefit=You can add your paladin levels to your knight levels for the purposes of determining the save DCs for your Knight's Challenge ability.

You can add your knight levels to your paladin levels for the purposes of determining how much HP your Lay on Hands 
ability can heal and the strength of your Special Mount (if you have this class feature).

Whenever you use Shield Ally, as part of the action, you can use Lay on Hands to prevent damage. For every 1 point of healing that you use from Lay on Hands, prevent 1 of the damage that you would be dealt and 1 of the damage your ally would be dealt. You choose which damage it is if there are multiple damage types. When you gain Improved Shield Ally, increase this amount to prevent 3 damage you would be dealt per healing point used.

|example=A 5th level paladin/6th level knight with a +5 charisma modifier has a DC of 20 for Knight's Challenge abilities. This character has an effective paladin level of 11 for her special mount and can heal 55 HP with Lay on Hands.
