A rare and unique item, the preserved hair of a powerful [[Hairbinder (3.5e Class)|Hairbinder]] whose hair was supposedly possessed by an an evil ethereal being. These long locks of blonde hairs can be used as a [[SRD:Whip|Whip]] or attached to another [[Hairbinder (3.5e Class)|Hairbinder]]'s hair lash. The Golden Locks of Zemel has the same property as [[Tome of Necromancy (3.5e Sourcebook)/New Rules#Black Steel|Black Steel]], a +2 Enhancement Bonus and possess the [[Constricting (3.5e Equipment)|Constricting]] and [[Hyperdimensional (3.5e Equipment)|Hyperdimensional]] enhancements, which it bestow and replace any enhancement currently on the hair lash. If used as a whip it can deal lethal damage and a high armor bonus does not protect against it damage. It also possess the same enhancement as the Hair Lash form.

The Golden Locks of Zemel's [[Constricting (3.5e Equipment)|Constricting]] ability can be used to literally devour foes whole. As a standard action you make a [[SRD:Grapple|Grapple]] check to [[SRD:Pinned|Pinned]] the grappled opponent. If you succeed the Golden Locks will sprout teeth will prepare to devour the target. If the target is still grappled at the start of the wielder's next turn, it is [[SRD:Swallow Whole|Swallowed Whole]] as per the [[Devouring (3.5e Cleric Domain)|Devouring]] domain. This ability use your class level as cleric level and count as being huge for the purpose of creatures it can store. Once this ability is used, it cannot be used again for 5 rounds.

When a creature is killed by the Golden Locks of Zemel, it soul is immediately absorbed into the hairs. The souls can be released as a standard action otherwise it is slowly digested over the course of a year. Treat this as a [[Maita (3.5e Subtype)|Maita]]'s Devour Soul ability. If the creature was devoured by the hair by the previous ability it capable of spitting the entire creature as a standard action, alive at -1 hit point and stable. However it must be done within a day, otherwise the body is digested (and it equipment can be spitted out as a standard action). 
 
The Golden Locks of Zemel is a unique item that cannot be replicated, but is not an artifact and thus may be destroyed or enhanced further as normal.
