|benefit=You can modify any damaging Strike to also ''[[SRD:Confusion | Confuse]]'' targets damaged by the Strike, unless they succeed a Will save against the Strike's save DC. The confusion lasts for 1 round, plus 1 round per level of the Strike (Minimum 1). If the Strike's normal effect also causes Confusion in the target, simply add the duration of Lunatic Strike's confusion onto that of the existing confusion effect.

Lunatic Strike can only be added to Strikes of up to 2 levels lower than the highest-level maneuver you can currently initiate; This is subject to further reduction by initiator level penalties. 

Once you initiate a Lunatic Strike, you suffer a penalty to your initiator level equal to the maneuver's level for 2 rounds. While this penalty is in effect, your higher-level maneuvers will become unavailable, but aren't expended or lost and will be available once the penalty ends.
