A ''masterwork [[SRD:Buckler|buckler]]'' capable of listening and recording up to 5 minutes of audio.  Turning the recording on or off is a move action which does not provoke.  The audio can be replayed back an endless amount of times (a move action) until it is recorded over with new audio.

It's real benefit is its spell storing capabilities.  Once per day it is capable of storing a single [Sonic] spell of any level within it, and releasing it with the same casting time as the original but using the original caster's caster level and spell DC.  It can also store up to a single bardic music performance up to 1 minute in length, during which you do not benefit from the bardic music effects.  Later you may activate it and play the effect as a standard action, gaining the benefit of the bardic music (but only for yourself).  The recording lasts for 1 minute or the duration of the bardic music.  For both the release of a [Sonic] spell or the playing of bardic music it takes up its entire recording capability and when the spell or music effect is expended and the shield is left empty.
