If you move at half speed or less during a round, you benefit from [[SRD:Cover|partial cover]], gaining +2 [[Reflex]] and +4 AC.  If you attack in that round the bonus is half that, and no bonus if you would lose your shield bonus to AC.

If you take total defense, you benefit from ''[[SRD:Sanctuary|sanctuary]]'' using your highest mental ability score to determine the DC.  The effect is reapplied each round, but once a creature breaks through they are immune to the ''sanctuary'' effects of this shield for 1 minute.
