''The staff appears to be four thin staves twisted together in a tight helix.  One band is bright red and seems to glow softly, another bright blue and pulsating with light, one a bright green and flowing with internal liquid, and one seemingly composed of glowing white ice.  While very colorful, it is a dangerous weapon, even more so in the hands of one who can cast and fight.''

The staff of the elements is a +1/+1 quarterstaff normally.  The staff of elements has the following spells:

Whenever you cast one of the spells from the staff, one or both ends of the staff (your choice) erupt into the appropriate elemental enchancement; Flaming, Frost, Shocking, or Corrosive.  The weapon enhancement lasts for 1 minute, or until you cast another spell and replace the element with a new elemental type.  Alternatively you can choose to expend one charge without casting a spell as a standard action, and obtain the Burst version of the weapon enhancement; Flaming Burst, Frost Burst, Shocking Burst, or Corrosive Burst.
