This +2 [[SRD:Bastard Sword|Bastard Sword]] is simple but well-crafted, it also possess the ability to turn the wielder into a true hero. Upon holding it aloft and speaking it command word the wielder turn into a muscular, handsome/beautiful and heroic version of themselves. In this form their age category change to young adult as per [[Aging Overhaul (3.5e Variant Rule)|Partial Rejuvenation]] and they gain a +4 bonus on their [[Strength]], [[Dexterity]] and [[Charisma]] or they are set to 18, whichever is higher. In their heroic form the wielder also gain 6 + their [[Charisma]] modifier in temporary hit points per level, those temporary hit points must be restored via healing, natural and magical and carry on through transformations.

The wielder may maintain this form for 1 hour per day, uses need not to be consecutive. If the form's temporary hit points are depleted the wielder immediately return to their normal form and the sword [[Broken (3.5e Condition)|break]]. Once the blade is repaired the form become accessible again, although at least 1 day must have passed.

The Sword of Heroism is a unique item that cannot be replicated, but is not an artifact and thus may be destroyed or enhanced further as normal.
