|benefit=If you are brought below -1 hp, you remain conscious (but unable to act, unless you can already act at -1 and lower such as via [[SRD:Diehard|diehard]]).  In fact, you remain conscious even when dead so long as your head remains intact.  You can spend up to 1 round per HD you have to be able to emote and speak up to 25 words a round, and you retain your memories including events witnessed post-mortem.  This time need not be consecutive.  You still cannot act however.  The time is reset if you are revived and die another time, or whenever you level.

As a bonus, if you drop below -1 hp (regardless if you are dead or not) you can choose to remain standing until someone or something knocks you prone.
