When an evoker runs low on flash and bang, they often get by with energy rays. After all, if they weren't slinging arcane energies at someone you wouldn't be able to call them an evoker. | |

A ray of energy streaks from the caster's fingertips to the target, the type of energy is chosen by the caster when the spell is first cast. If the caster succeeds on a ranged touch attack to strike the target, the ray inflicts 1d6+[CL/5]d6+ intelligence modifer in damage of whatever type was selected. While this spell is active and the slot remains bound, the caster may fire a single ray on any subsequent round as a standard action, but each ray is the same type of energy. The caster may change the type of energy ray fired as a move action, at which point all subsequent rays will be of that energy type until another move action is spent to change the type again. | |
Enhanced: The spell deals double damage, and a different energy type may be selected as a swift action. | |
Diminished: The spell deals half damage, and a different energy type may not be selected after the spell is initially cast. | |
Immune: No effect. | |
