Path of the RavenousEdit

A wild and violent barbarian tradition, practiced by depraved individuals with cannibalistic tendencies, dedicated to slaughter and gluttony.

Followers of the Path of the Ravenous love hand-to-hand combat, throwing themselves into the fray, biting, tearing, and devouring everything in their path.

Angry HungerEdit

Starting at 3rd level, while you are raging, you gain a bite that deals 1d4 + Strength of bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. You are proficient with your bite, and the damage die increases to d6 at 6th level, d8 at 10th, and d10 at 14th.

You can only strike with your bite using a bonus action against the same target you’ve attacked with a melee attack.

You also gain proficiency in Survival.

Gore TeethEdit

Also at 3rd level, when you are grappling and raging, at the start of your turn, you automatically deal 1d4 bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage to the opponent you are grappling.

This damage becomes 1d6 at 10th level.

Bite BackEdit

Starting at 6th level, while you are raging, when an opponent tries to strike you in melee, you can use your reaction to hit them with your bite.

DevourEdit

Additionally, at 6th level, you can feast on the flesh of a creature you bite. When you hit a creature with your bite, you can roll 1d12 and recover hit points equal to the result (excess points become temporary hit points lasting until the end of your rage).

You can use this feature during a short or long rest, eating the flesh of a creature no larger than your size, that you helped kill and is still fresh or otherwise preserved. You gain an extra Hit Die, which can be used immediately or saved.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all uses after a long rest.

You can't use this feature against creatures of the Construct, Elemental, Ooze, or Undead types, unless you yourself possess one of those types. In that case, you can use this feature against creatures of your type.

Ravenous BiteEdit

Starting at 10th level, you can use your bite as an attack action. This allows you to attack with your bite three times per turn (twice as part of the attack action and once as a bonus action).

Additionally, your bite counts as magical for overcoming resistances and immunities to non-magical attacks.

Feast of FuryEdit

At 14th level, you can always use your bite, even when you are not raging.

Additionally, you gain the following benefits:

  • The damage dealt by your bite while raging ignores the target’s physical resistances.
  • When you use the Devour feature, you always gain the maximum possible hit points, and the number of dice increases to 2d12.
  • You always have advantage on checks to start or maintain a grapple with your bite.
