The fist-sized Star Ruby was a perfect orb, glistening from within. With a single touch, it leeched the life from him and the ruby came alive, bathed with light from within. Just as quickly, the life seeped back into him and the light dulled itself.
Dragon's Hoard is a fist-sized Star Ruby which glows with light from within. When held, it allows for HP to be taken from any willing or helpless creature at a rate of 10 HP/round, up to a total of 70 HP. If this would reduce a creature to less than -10 HP, they turn to dust and are absorbed entirely by the Hoard, doubling it's current reserve. This lasts until the extra HP has been expended. At any time, the holder can expend a standard action to heal themselves for 10 HP. If it's reserve is reduced to 0 HP, the Hoard turns a dull black, and must have blood spilled upon it(an immediate action dealing 1 damage to the user) to revitalize it. HP leaks out of it at a rate of 5 HP/day when it hasn't been used in more that 2 days. When the Dragon's Hoard holds more than 45 HP, it illuminates the nearby area as a torch.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, Hoard LifeRotD, Must be crafted with a Ruby worth 1,000 gp and immersed in Dragon's Blood.
Cost to Create: 14,000 gp, 1,120 EXP, 28 days.
