The caster can change one of the target’s colors per caster level. The material component is something that is the color they wish the target to become. It is typically a liquid or solid (i.e.: ink, dye, pigment, blood, dust, wheat flower, chalk, ash, a stone, a leaf, a piece of fabric, a flower pedal, insect shell, a gemstone…). The caster must touch the material component to the target. The maximum size of the target is medium + 1 size category larger per level above 1st. Some example color changes: 1) turn the background of a fierce knight’s coat of arms pink with a flower pedal, 2) turn the smoke from a fire or the fire itself pitch black by throwing ink into it, 3) turning your green cloak tan by putting some sand on it, 4) turning an ogre’s skin yellow by touching it with a dandelion, 5) change the beer in a barrel to green by dropping a leaf into it… If this spell is used as a camouflage, there is a +4 DC to other’s spot attempts. One can use a permanency spell on colorize with no cost.

Material Component: Some coloring agent
