Welcome to the Dungeons and Dragons Wiki!
The Dungeons and Dragons wiki is dedicated to all things Dungeons and Dragons. Here you will find general information on the various editions, campaign settings, and sourcebooks that make the game we love what it is as well as a vibrant homebrew community. Anyone can jump in and add to existing canon material or create their own homebrew pages with easy-to-use preloads that automatically format and categorize pages.

Our canon section is still growing, and we want to collect information about all the races, creatures, spells and more that have been published over the years. This section is everything you'd expect from a traditional wiki, with encyclopaedic articles and citations about the game.

Our homebrew section is author centric, built around aggressive quality control, and focused on providing content for many different styles of play. We want to help you find material from our collection that you can use in your campaigns without balance concerns. To that end we list the author of the material on each page and attempt to tag the article with a balance point that indicates what sort of games it would be most appropriate in. Please see our Balance Points article for a more information.

We have some policies for homebrew material that differ from most wikis, however. The most important of these is that we ask that you not make mechanical changes to the work of others without their permission. Please see our Homebrew Content Requirements for further information on these policies. To see a list of articles that the author specifically requested input on, feel free to check out our Help Wanted page.

Chat
We have a wiki chat room at IRC://irc.mibbit.net/dnd; you can access it directly from your browser with this handy link! Tasks

We're improving our layout and navigation. In order of probable completion:

  • Edit pages to conform to new properties, categories, and navigation bits.
  • Update 4e and SRD Feats to use templates.
  • Fix the 3.5e equipment navigation pages and rethink the equipment categorizations in general.
  • Migrate the 4e and SRD sections away from DPL querries, and update the semantic properties of the 4e templates and preloads.
  • Standardize formats between editions where appropriate.
A Tribute

After the long night experienced by our tireless moderators, we on the wiki thought it only fitting to give credit where credit is due. As such, we the People of DnD-Wiki give thanks to Eiji for his vigilance...

Even though my tail is a thunderbolt, my wings a hurricane, and my breath death... I fear to cross the Spammerbane.
There is a well peopled Wiki
With members from L. A. to Poughkeepsie
    Their standards are high
    And 'though arguments fly
It was 'cause the folks were all geeky.

There was then a great calamity
Spambots declared their enmity
    They posted all night
    Filling the site
With their pers’nal brand of aggressivity.

"I think not!" said the man made of plush
Who told all the spam bots to shush
    He banned their IPs,
    reverted their cheese,
and turned all their spamming to mush.
