|benefit=Whenever you cast a spell, you may choose to reduce your effective caster level (to a min of 1) when determining range, area, or any other aspect of the spell's effect which depends on caster level, such as damage. Different aspects of the spell can have their caster level set independently of each other, although you can not distinguish based on target or location within the area of effect. This only modifies the ''effective'' caster level for the purposes of adjudicating the spell's effect; the spell's actual caster level in unaffected, and so it does allow crafting magic items at a CL below the minimum required to cast the spell.
