This spell invokes a large seal beneath the affected area. The seal then emanates a mist, followed by a blast of dark energy.
This spell deals 2d8 points of damage per caster level to all within its area (Reflex Half). The attack leaves its surviving victims mentally shattered, causing them to take a permanent -5 penalty to Will saves and a -2 penalty to attack rolls (Will negates). This effect is permanent and can be removed by break enchantment. The damage part of this spell is not considered mind-affecting, but the save and attack penalty is.
