Canon talk:Special Materials
From Dungeons and Dragons Wiki
Updating? reorganizing? this page needs some work, like it doesn't even have mithral, and it would look better in a chart. --72.84.80.42 07:38, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- This page certainly deserves some more attention, but mithral is there just as a link because it has its own page with detailed information. Feel free to reformat it if you believe it'll look better! --Radaghast 13:20, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
PAGE NECROMANCY. What is this? -- Eiji-kun 08:30, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Could you specify? A list of many published aka canon materials, that could use some reformatting and more references, but otherwise might go into the canon section as a helpful list, in my opinion. 08:45, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
- It was Eiji-kun forgetting what the DnDWiki namespace was. I answered him over IRC. --Havvy 22:22, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
In Search of References[edit]
The following materials were put here, but no references could be found so far. A few might also be homebrew according to [1]. If you can find a reference, please move the material with the source into the article. If you are sure that one of the materials is homebrew, please remove it from here.
- Aururum - Pieces meld back together and repair themselves, if broken.
- Duskwood - ??? (Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting was given as a reference, but there it is only the name of a woodland)
- Githsilver - what Githyanki swords are made of. AKA ferroplasm
- Ironbark - ???
- Orichalcum - red copper-gold
- Pearl Steel - functions better underwater than normal weapons
- Serren (or Serran?) - Branch wood that has ghost touch
Daranios 18:26, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- "Aurorum"- Book of Exalted Deeds p.38
- Duskwood - Magic of Faerun p.178
- Githsilver - never heard of it
- Ironbark - May be a reference to the ironbark spell in the PHB
- Orichalcum - Might be homebrew, sounds like the metal in the Elder Scrolls games (The name goes back at least to Plato, actually. Daranios (talk) 15:36, 15 May 2014 (UTC))
- Pearlsteel - Stormwrack p.128
- Serren - Book of Exalted Deeds p.38
- So we are left with potentially homebrew:
