Dayusk[edit]
Dayusk is the staff of the sun god Aurinko. It appears as a normal oaken staff covered with ornate carvings. Observed top to bottom, these carvings depict the creation of Uzarra. Read bottom to top, they depict the burning of Uzarra by the Atrocious Three.
Dayusk is a +5 holy burst/+5 holy burst quarterstaff with a critical threat range of 18-20. A Lawful Good wielder may cast the following spells from the staff (CL 20):
Quickened Flame Strike
In addition, as a full round action a Lawful Good user my call forth a small portion of the sun. It appears within 10 feet of the wielder and shines light as a heightened Daylight spell (10th). The wielder of the staff may command the ball of sun to move up to 30 feet as a swift action, but the ball cannot travel more than 40 feet form the staff. Anything that touches the ball is affected as if it were touched by a Sphere of Annihilation. The sphere can be dismissed as a swift action.
If any Evil creature touches the staff, bright white flames erupt from the point of contact, causing the limb to wither away into a useless husk. The creature is wracked with pain whenever it touches anything. Nothing short of a Wish or Miracle can restore the limb.
If any Chaotic creature touches the staff, they must make a DC 40 will save or go Insane permanently, with no desire to touch the staff again. This affects creatures immune to mind-affecting effects.
