1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
An oversized sword that isn’t meant to be used by mere mortals. The average ‘giant blade’ is about 6 to 7 feet long, with a thick and wide solid steel blade. It is a horribly unbalanced weapon that requires great strength and special training to use. If the wielder isn’t proficient with the giant blade then attacking with it is a full-attack action to make a single attack. Due to its size and unwieldiness, non-proficient users cannot make attacks of opportunity with it. Due to its large size, a proficient user gain an additional 5 feet of reach during her turn with a giant sword.
A proficient user can use the cleave feat whenever she makes an attack (not just as standard action), the penalty to AC for multiple cleaves is not cumulative. If she has the feat, then she does not take a penalty to AC for doing so.
