Standing before you is a great owl, easily over 14 feet tall with a wingspan of over 22 feet. It plumage is oddly shaped, as if it was inherently filled with magic. It piercing gaze fall upon you.
When a Giant Owl survive for hundred of years it often gain greatly in size and wisdom. These owls eventually become Great Wise Owls, much stronger and fearsome than Giant Owl but retaining their gentle character. A impressive and wise creature, it will always grant it counsels to the forces of good. It is often found in druidic circle, acting as advisor to the archdruid.
A Great Wise Owl generally prefer to avoid fighting, but if cornered it will use it great intellect to take down it opponents as strategically as possible. It prefer to not waste it spell-like abilities on unworthy targets.
Piercing Gaze (Ex): A Great Wise Owl count as interacting with all illusion within it line of sight, it gain a +8 racial bonus on saving throws against illusions.
Shroud (Su): A Great Wise Owl is cloaked protective magic, making it incredibly difficult to target with magical abilities. A Great Wise Owl possess Spell Resistance of 20 + it HD (28).
