The swordsman pulls aside the strangely fuzzy, brown sheathe to reveal an elegant blade that seems somewhat incongruent.
This jian has an attractive green color, with a paler portion surrounded by brown flecks towards the center of its crystalline mass. The fragrance of kiwi wafts from its blade.
Those struck by the fruity blade take an additional 1 point of [Fruit] energy damage and are affected by a minor allergic reaction. This has the effect of itching cursePF with no HD limit, lasting for only 1 hour except it offers a Fortitude save (DC 13) to reduce the duration to one round, instead of a Will save to negate. While under the effect of the allergic reaction, creatures have difficulty swallowing, requiring a longer action (free to swift to move to standard to full-round to one round) for anything that involves eating or drinking (such as drinking a potion or swallowing a creature whole).
Additionally, the enhancement of the weapon digests other weapons as it is harmed in turn. When directly touched by this weapon (such as by parrying or when attempting a sunder check), other weapons take base weapon damage plus any damage from enhancements on the blade (including its Fruit damage), which deals full damage before hardness.
The sword comes with a fuzzy, dull brown sheathe that cleans the blade when sheathed as prestidigitation, as well as a distracting tassel on the hilt that acts as a masterwork skill tool for the purposes of feinting.
This magical +1 defending crystal jian shouldn't exist. When detected, it shows as being of the Fruit school of magic. Its kiwi enhancement derives from a single +1 cost special enhancement, thus counting as a +3 total weapon for enhancing it further.
The kiwi jian is a unique item and cannot be replicated, but it can be enhanced or destroyed as normal.
