Mending Surface[edit]

Mending surfaces can be walls, floors, or roofs of a building. They are shaped when they are created and will maintain that shape as best as possible, regardless of any damage. The surfaces come in several forms, each vulnerable to some kind of elemental damage. This kind of damage will halt their regeneration for 1 week, but eventually the surface will rebuild itself unless it is completely destroyed.

Any pieces of material taken from a mending surface will disintegrate into ash after a minute.

The surface itself will heal 5 hp per round for every 5ft. square area. So if a 20 ft. square area has a hole blasted in it for 20 damage to each square, the hole will be closed after 4 rounds.

The following surfaces are available:

Ice[edit]

The ice surface is clear enough to see through although it slightly blurs objects on the other side and gives a blue tint to lighting. The ice comes in solid blocks, and when shattered, a thin layer of frost quickly forms to patch a hole and thickens from the edges towards the center of the hole until it is solid again. Fire damage is an ice surface's vulnerability.

Ice surfaces have a hardness of 0 and 3 hp per inch of thickness.

Weak conjuration; CL 3rd; Craft Wondrous Item; Price 10 gp for a 5 ft. length of wall, 10 ft. high, 1 inch thick.

Flesh[edit]

The flesh surface appears as huge exposed muscles and massive organs, pumping blood and powerfully expanding and contracting. When damaged, a flesh surface will spray out blood, which will quickly coagulate, scabbing over and covering the wound. Fire damage is a flesh surface's vulnerability.

Flesh surfaces have a hardness of 2 and 5 hp per inch of thickness.

Weak conjuration; CL 3rd; Craft Wondrous Item; Price 30 gp for a 5 ft. length of wall, 10 ft. high, 1 inch thick.

Plant[edit]

The plant surface is formed of vines, roots, and tree trunks. Plant surfaces regrow to generally fit the same shape but minor changes in where particular roots and vines are may change. Fire damage is a plant surface's vulnerability.

Plant surfaces have a hardness of 5 and 10 hp per inch of thickness.

Weak conjuration; CL 3rd; Craft Wondrous Item; Price 100 gp for a 5 ft. length of wall, 10 ft. high, 1 inch thick.

Stone[edit]

The stone surface can look much like any worked or unworked stone wall. When damaged, either variety will create a small rumble as new blocks (or slabs of stone) push existing blocks to close the hole. Acid damage is a stone surface's vulnerability.

Stone surfaces have a hardness of 8 and 15 hp per inch of thickness.

Weak conjuration; CL 3rd; Craft Wondrous Item; Price 200 gp for a 5 ft. length of wall, 10 ft. high, 1 inch thick.

Crystal[edit]

The crystal surface is made of smooth crystalline formations, often bright colors like pink. When shattered, new crystals will grow to patch holes. Sonic damage is a crystal surface's vulnerability.

Crystal surfaces have a hardness of 8 and 25 hp per inch of thickness.

Weak conjuration; CL 4th; Craft Wondrous Item; Price 300 gp for a 5 ft. length of wall, 10 ft. high, 1 inch thick.

Metal[edit]

The metal surface appears as a blue-tinted steel with a shiny mirror-like face. These surfaces will have their edges become liquid metal when damaged (although not hot) and ooze back to the exact same shape they were before damage. Acid damage is a metal surface's vulnerability.

Metal surfaces have a hardness of 10 and 30 hp per inch of thickness.

Weak conjuration; CL 5th; Craft Wondrous Item; Price 500 gp for a 5 ft. length of wall, 10 ft. high, 1 inch thick.
