"This?" asked the sheriff. "It's the cursed blade Miasmox." With that, the Sheriff exploded in a maelstrom of blood.
This black +1 Intelligent Windblessed Flamberge has a hilt made out of a dark red metal. It is also is the host of a malevolent force that hungers for death, blood, and destruction, so there's that. Every attack with Miasmox deals the wielder 1 point of Bleedout. It detects as strongly Evil.
As a standard action, you can invoke its name and bleed yourself out to create a sudden rush of wind around yourself. You create a 60-ft. burst of wind centered on yourself; since you are in the eye of the storm, you are not affected. The wind is equal in strength to a gale force (100 mph hurricane wind) spell, pushing out from you. The wind lasts for 1 round or until you move out of the area, whichever comes first. Additionally, the wind deals the same amount of bleedout as if using the Bloodletting Weapon Art of the Flamberge (typically 3). This is a supernatural ability.
Additionally, if someone holding the blade speaks its name and the extra standard action from Intelligent has not been used for the encounter, it can choose to activate the above on its own. If it does, the wielder is not spared from wind, and must make a saving throw (Fort DC 22) or bleedout immediately and take 4 points of Constitution burn. It typically only does this in the hands of someone it doesn't think will cause death or destruction.
Finally, Miasmox will heal 1 point of damage to itself per round if submerged in blood. This can cause it to be reconstructed after being sundered if enough pieces are gathered.
