Mithra[edit]
Hailing from an island nation far to the south, this race of felines are skilled at the hunt.
Personality[edit]
Female mithra tend to either be playful and flirtatious or entirely too serious while males tend to remain rather aloof.
Physical Description[edit]
Both male and female mithra tend to adorn themselves with tribal tattoos, generally upon the face. These tend to resemble warpaint or the markings of predatory cats. Males tend to be slightly taller than females and only marginally heavier.
Relations[edit]
Mithra tend to get along passably with other races, getting along surprisingly well with elves who can find few faults with them other than their lack of proficiency with magic and short (by elf standards) lifespans. Those of a serious disposition also get along wonderfully with dwarves and those of a lighter disposition get along well with the Tarutaru who they share the federation of Windurst with.
Alignment[edit]
Mithra tend to have at least one aspect of neutrality in their alignment, but are almost never evil. A sect of mithra known as the Sin Hunters purge any evil mithra from the race.
Lands[edit]
Mithra originate from an island nation to the south of the mainland and co-habitate the federation of windurst with the Tarutaru. Male mithra rarely tend to venture from their homelands, as the birth rate of males is vastly less than females (about a 1/20 ratio).
Religion[edit]
Most mithra worship gods of nature or the goddess of the dawn, Altana. Mithra sin hunters almost universally worship St. Cuthbert with a zeal that would put a paladin to shame.
Language[edit]
Mithra speak their own language, Mithran, and also speak common with the issues with "R"s that a Yuan-Ti has with "S"s. They have also been known to pick up the languages of the forest, as well as that of their allies.
Names[edit]
Mithra have a given name, and then a land name. They do not have a proper family name as many races. A mithra born on the island of Tsih and named Midurri by her parents would be named Midurri Tsih.
Given names include: Jhokkri, Naja, Lekho, Bopa, and Nhapla.
