the necromancer class[edit]

for the sake of simplicity, use all of the stats of the wizard or sorcerer class, but instead of many casting spells, you get a certain number of points andless spells per day, though you can learn and use spells like a wizard. the number of points you get is your level plus your intelligence modifier, times 10. creating and maintaining undead takes up these points, and the only way to get these points back are if the undead was defeated, or you dispel the undead you have created. you cannot exceed your point limit in any way. spells per day/known (1 1) (2 2/1) (3 2/1) (4 2/1/1) (5 2/1/1) (6 2/1/1/1) (7 2/2/1/1) (8 2/2/1/1/1) (9 2/2/2/1/1) (10 2/2/2/1/1/1) (11 2/2/2/2/1/1) (12 2/2/2/2/1/1/1) (13 2/2/2/2/2/1/1) (14 2/2/2/2/2/1/1/1) (15 2/2/2/2/2/2/1/1) (16 2/2/2/2/2/2/1/1/1) (17 2/2/2/2/2/2/2/1/1) (18 2/2/2/2/2/2/2/1/1) (19 2/2/2/2/2/2/2/1/1) (20 2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2)

bonus feats[edit]

the necromancer has two extra feats, the first you get at level one, and the second one you get at level 10. the first one is called "bone weaving" and it gives you the ability to use your points to make undead. the undead you create is permanent, and it obeys your spoken commands. the amount of points it takes to summon an undead will be detailed below the second feat that you learn at level 10 is called "bone master" and gives you the ability to modify basic undead components into their modified components for half the price of the modified component, instead of finding the modified versions or breaking down magic items.

how making the undead works[edit]

instead of the basic version where you "put a black onyx crystal in the mouth or eye of an undead, then cast your magic spell", you need six things; a head, a left arm, a right arm, a left leg, a right leg, and a torso. just put these six things in an anatomically correct position, then will your undead to life. just animating the sucker takes 10 points, and because you are using basic components, there is no extra cost. but say you had this skeleton that was made out of basic components, and you come across this new arm that has a piece of armor on it that gives him +3 defence? don't worry, like legos, the undead are interchangeable. just subtract the point cost from your total, and write down how much each skeleton is worth. a basic undead has all the stats of it's caster as well as their alignment, and can equip weapons and armor, as well as magic items, as long as the magic items don't require flesh or verbal command. undead created by the necromancer class cannot become spellstitched. you can cast touch and ranged spells through them.

undead part modifiers[edit]

now that you have a basic understanding of how this system works, here is a variety of unique modifiers. make sure to treat all abilities like a feat. in addition to the modifiers listed below, you can enchant any individual piece, or disenchant any enchanted item to add these enchantments to a part. the point cost of that item is the price of the magic item divided by 1000, rounded to the nearest whole number

bony these are mundane skeleton hands, suitable for grasping and scratching, 0 points if used in arms 1d3 unarmed attack damage if used in head it does nothing if used in legs 30 feet if used in torso hp 3

zombie these are like bony hands, but they still have flesh, 3 points if used in arms 1d4 unarmed attack damage if used in head +3 strength if used in legs 20 feet if used in torso hp 7

old these bones are so brittle they could snap at any moment, 3 points if used in arms 1d4 unarmed attack damage if used in head +1d4 damage to spells cast through this undead if used in legs 30 feet if used in torso hp 1

icy these bones have been frozen so long the power of ice seeped into them, +2 AC, 5 points if used in arms, 1d6 cold damage if used in head, undead can exhale a frost breath like the one ice dragons can if used in legs, 30 feet if used in torso, hp 15

dragonbone not a dragon skeleton, but bones with dragonlike power, 5 points if used in arms, 1d10 unarmed attack damage if used in head, undead can exhale a fire breath like the one fire dragons can if used in legs, 20 feet if used in torso hp 20
