Note: This spell is meant to be used in a campaign setting that uses the Warp spell.
The spell is cast on a fixed location and results in an "anti-anchor". This functions in all the same ways as an anchor point, but instead prevents teleportation rather than assisting it. This is the permanent effect provided by the spell. The anti-anchor prevents anchor points from being created in the area in addition to its ability to disable teleportation effects. It can be removed and strengthened in the same way that an anchor point can.
In addition to blocking teleportation effects, this spell also completely blocks extradimensional travel within the area. Once a null teleport zone is in place, extradimensional travel into or out of the area is not possible. Forms of movement barred include astral projection, blink, dimension door, ethereal jaunt, etherealness, gate, maze, plane shift, shadow walk, teleport, Warp and similar spell-like or psionic abilities.
The casting time of this spell is determined by the radius of the resulting null teleport zone. If there are any anchor points in the area the resulting null teleport zone would inhabit, the spell fails at the end of the casting and the caster knows the direction of the anchor point, but not its exact location.
Area radius | Casting time |
---|---|
20 ft. | 15 minutes |
50 ft. | 1 hour |
100 ft. | 4 hours |
250 ft. | 1 day |
