[[Summary::A status effect which make it difficult to go all out.| At Bay is a status effect which reflect cautious fear.]] A creature can be At Bay from a specific source such as a creature, all hostile creature, an area or even a more open-ended thing such as bodies of water or flames.
Whenever a creature is At Bay it take penalties as if it were [[SRD:Shaken|Shaken]], but only toward the source of her fear. Additionally whenever it attack the source of fear it must [[SRD:Standard Actions#Fighting Defensively as a Standard Action|Fight Defensively]] and it move at half speed whenever it attempt to approach the source of fear. If an At Bay creature is cornered it can take actions normally at no penalties.
If you are At Bay from an area, you move at half speed while inside the area and constantly take penalties as if it were [[SRD:Shaken|Shaken]]. The creature can move at it normal speed if it attempt to flee or exit the area.
