[[Summary::A status effect which make it difficult to go all out.| At Bay is a status effect which reflect cautious fear.]] A creature can be At Bay from a specific source such as a creature, all hostile creature, an area or even a more open-ended thing such as bodies of water or flames.
Whenever a The creature who is At Bay it take penalties as if it were [[SRDsuffer from the following conditions:Shaken|Shaken]] but only toward the source of her fear. Additionally whenever * Whenever an At Bay creature it attack the source of fear it must [[SRD:Standard Actions#Fighting Defensively as a Standard Action|Fight Defensively]] and it * An At Bay Creature move at half speed whenever it attempt to approach move in the direction of the source of fear. * If an At Bay creature is cornered it can take actions normally at no penalties.
If you are a creature is At Bay from an area, you it move at half speed while inside the area and constantly take penalties as if it were [[SRD:Shaken|Shaken]]. The creature can move at it normal speed if it attempt to flee or exit the area.
The penalties for being At bay stack with any other fear penalty. This status effect work best with [[Revised Fear Effects (3.5e Variant Rule)|Revised Fear Effects]].
